Ready-to-Use Trigger Sprayer
- Use as long as Wilt-Pruf doesn't freeze on foliage while spraying
- Shake well before using, just as you would with paint
- Spray the tops and bottoms of leaves, needles, and stems to run off
- Always allow Wilt-Pruf to dry outdoors in daylight (not necessarily sunlight) for 3 to 4 hours
- Wash surfaces sprayed in error immediately with warm water and detergent
- Wash sprayer with warm water and detergent immediately after each use
Concentrates
- Use as long as Wilt-Pruf doesn't freeze on foliage while spraying
- Shake well before and after diluting, just as you would with paint
- Add Wilt-Pruf to water (NOT water to Wilt-Pruf) in desired ratio for occasion (more occasion details can be found below)
- Mix thoroughly!
- Once mixed, spray the tops and bottoms of leaves, needles, and stems to run off. You can use with any pressure type trombone, pump, or power sprayer (except a hose end)
- The more pressure, the better the spray pattern!
- Always allow Wilt-Pruf to dry outdoors in daylight (not necessarily sunlight) for 3 to 4 hours
- Wash surfaces sprayed in error immediately with warm water and detergent
Different Types of Applications
For Winter Protection
- You may spray Wilt-Pruf anytime as long as spray does not freeze on foliage while spraying and you are able to let it dry for 3 to 4 hours after spraying
- Use a 1:5 dilution rate
- Spray on arborvitae, cypress, junipers, and cedars in late fall when plant moisture in these species has retreated to the root system for the winter
- One application should last 3 to 4 months
For Drought and Windburn Protection
- Spray once each season at a dilution rate of 1:10
For Transplanting
- For spring, summer, and fall transplanting water thoroughly before applying Wilt-Pruf
- Apply Wilt-Pruf at a dilution rate of 1:10
- It is best to spray a few hours before digging, or if necessary, just after transplanting
For Christmas Tree Protection
- To keep trees, wreaths, and greens from drying out, turning brown, and dropping needles, spray at a dilution rate of 1:10 outdoors
- Let sprayed items dry outdoors in daylight (not necessarily sunlight) for 3 to 4 hours before bringing indoors
For Transport
- To guard against windburn and dry-out while transporting trees, plants, and shrubs, spray at a dilution rate of 1:10 and allow 3 to 4 hour of drying time before loading
Cleaning and Storage
For Storage Protection
- Tubers and bulbs can be sprayed or dipped in Wilt-Pruf at a dilution rate of 1:10
- Allow to dry outside before putting in storage
Washing
- Clean surfaces sprayed in error with warm water and detergent immediately after use
- Dried film may be dissolved with kerosene, but it may be best to let the film oxidize and disappear naturally
- Always flush sprayers thoroughly immediately after use, do not store Wilt-Pruf in sprayer (exception is our RTU bottle)
